Camp Carnival Staff
In Camp Carnival there are 3 different age groups for kids 2-11 years old. There
are the 2-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, and 9-11 year olds. Each group has age
appropriate activities that are fun, interactive, and some are also educational.
Some of the great events that happen in Camp Carnival are Kid's Dinner, circle games, puppet making, video game time, volcano (make and erupt), bead making, Funship Freddy hunt, Kid's talent show and sand art. Camp Carnival also offers babysitting in Camp Carnival for kids 11 years old and younger for
nominal fee each night. The Camp Carnival Staff help with adapting and creating activities so that the kids onboard will have a fun and great experience. They are very energetic, patient, and ready to handle kids in all age groups. They are also able to follow guidelines to make sure the kids stay safe and supervised. Minimum age to apply for the job is 21.
Circle C Staff
It's time to cruise, chill and connect. Onboard we have young teens 12-14 years old who want to do just that. The Circle C Director is in charge of the Circle Cprogram and they are able to chill and connect with these young teens. The Circle C Director comes up with new activities to offer and help young teens have a great vacation. The Circle C Director keeps up with music, trends, host events, listen to the teens, and they are there to offer the young teens a place to connect with others. Minimum age to apply for the job is 21.
Club O2 Directors
One of the most energetic crewmembers on board, the Club O2 director coordinates activities for teens between the ages of 15-17 while serving as catalyst behind the fleet wide Club O2 program, creating the spark that gets teens motivated to have a great time. Hired to work specifically with teens, Club O2 directors work as hosts, DJs, and event planners for specially designed teenonly events.
Not only are Club O2 directors charged with running the teen program, they are also connected to the teens, always keeping abreast on the latest activities, music, movies, and video game systems. There is something for everyone in Club O2, and the Club 02 directors ensure that this happens through their social, friendly, and confident personalities. Minimum age to apply for the job is 21.

Disc Jockey
With the largest dance clubs afloat featuring state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology, Carnival is looking for professional, hardworking and enthusiastic disc jockeys who love to entertain our guests and have a good time.
Carnival’s
DJs provide entertainment in various shipboard locations which, in addition to dance clubs, include poolside and deck areas, various lounges and bars, and a host of other venues. Carnival’s “Fun Ship” DJs go beyond taking requests and create a fun and memorable environment for its guests.
Headline Entertainer
Become a member of our Fly-On Entertainer program which offers the best ofboth worlds – a shipboard entertainer who not only travels to different ships and visits exciting ports of call but also still can entertain guests ashore. Carnival is always seeking exceptional talent and currently booking variety/specialty acts, vocalists, comics, and illusionists. Carnival’s entertainers are typically away for two to four days at a time. In addition to providing round-trip air transportation to and from the ship, Carnival covers miscellaneous travel expenses and offers free room and board, and use of guest areas such as the spa, gym, sun decks and the clubs and lounges. Other benefits include free and reduced rate cruise benefits following six months of continuous service.

Carnival’s entertainment department is always looking for unique talent and currently booking variety/specialty acts, vocalists, comics, and illusionists. Headline entertainers enjoy the best of both worlds -- a life at home as well as entertaining cruise ship guests while traveling to different ships and ports of call. Entertainers typically travel for two to four days at a time.
Carnival provides air transportation to and from the ship, as well as miscellaneous travel expenses and accommodations and meals aboard ship. Entertainers are also allowed to

Ships.” Carnival is looking for fun-loving, energetic individuals to be part of our
team and help our guests create a lifetime of vacation memories by hosting activities, shows and special events. Full training is given but a strong theater background and some microphone technique are essential.
The primary role of
a entertainment staff or hostess is to assist the cruise director daily to create a fun and entertaining environment for the guests, as well as help cruise director
and assistant cruise director in the overall management of the entertainment department. Entertainment staff are charge of running majority of the activities
that happen around the ship and are often called upon by both guests and crew to answer questions involving all facets of the ship, including schedules, safety, concessions and ports of call. As such, prospective entertainment staff must possess interpersonal skills and must be organized and motivated.
Essentially, middle management in the entertainment department, entertainment staff are often responsible for ensuring information and e-mails are properly communicated, essential paperwork is complete and meetings and drills are attended by all members of the department.

Show band Each Carnival vessels features an eight- to 10-piece show band which provides music for the ship’s production shows and featured entertainers, as well as dance music. Carnival seeks experienced, well-rounded musicians with a high level or proficiency on their chosen instrument. Strong sight reading skills and the ability to assimilate and perform a wide variety of diverse musical styles quickly are essential.
Experience in a medium- or large-sized musical ensemble, and studies at a college level music program or equivalent experience helpful, but not mandatory. Specific requirements for each position are below:
• Alto Saxophone - must double on flute and clarinet, ability to improvise preferred
• Tenor Saxophone - must double on flute and clarinet, and be a proficient improviser. Baritone Saxophone-no doubles required • Trumpet 1 - must have a range to high G; ability to improvise preferred
• Trumpet 2 - must have a range to high E, and be a proficient improviser
• Trombone - tenor trombone with range to A; ability to improvise preferred • Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums - all rhythm section members need to have excellent reading and interpretive skills. Rhythm players should be able to read a variety of different styles of charts, and be familiar with a broad range of jazz and contemporary musical styles.
Piano Bar Entertainer Carnival’s piano bar entertainers are highly interactive, and focused on guest satisfaction. While being able to cater to a wide range of guest demographics, the majority of our guests who frequent the piano bar are in their mid 20s through mid 50s. The piano bar entertainers that are most successful on our line have a repertoire from contemporary artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, The Eagles, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, and James Taylor, just to name a few. Additionally, contemporary country, sing-a-long favorites, and one-hit wonders from the 1950's through the present all work well in our piano bars. Please note that piano entertainers whose repertoire consists primarily of show tunes, cabaret music, and jazz standards are really not what we are looking for.
One-Man Band Carnival’s soloists perform a wide variety of musical styles, with an emphasis on popular music from the 1950s to present. They should develop a good rapport with guests and take song requests. Requirements include proficiency as an instrumentalist and vocalist with a large repertoire of music from which to draw (most should be from memory) and the ability to cater to a diverse range of guests with varied musical tastes.
Cocktail Piano Each of Carnival’s vessels features a cocktail piano player who performs in the dining rooms, lobbies, and other public areas of the vessel. This position is an instrumental, non-vocal position. Cocktail piano players need to posses the ability to perform a variety of musical styles, and ascertain the musical tastes of Carnival’s guests and adapt as necessary. They must also be able to develop a rapport and interact with guests to provide an enjoyable musical entertainment experience.
Calypso Band (Currently not accepting applications) Carnival’s calypso bands are responsible for creating fun and entertaining music poolside during the day. These four-piece bands are comprised of a variety of instrumentations, but all draw from island styles such as reggae, calypso, and soca, as well as arrangements of pop and rock songs. Requirements include the ability to perform calypso, reggae and other Caribbean and popular musical styles, and to be able to work as a solo performer or in a group setting as designated.
Variety Duo Some Carnival vessels feature a variety duo who perform a wide variety of music, in varied settings from the ship’s atrium to the fine dining experience available within the supper clubs on the line’s Spirit- and Conquest-class ships. Musical styles vary based on performing location, but groups generally perform popular music from the 1950s to present.
