POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
Show Dancer
Production show dancers are required to have a strong technical training in ballet and jazz with adaptable and versatile styles and performance qualities to performin Carnival’s high-energy shows.
An fun, upbeat outgoing personality is essential as dancers are also required to assist the cruise director in coordinating shipboard activities that are a popular part of the “Fun Ship” vacation experience.
Show dancers perform in completely different Las Vegas-style shows twice nightly two nights per cruise. Dancers must attend weekly rehearsals for each show, as well as assist the dance captain to teach choreography during cast changeovers.
Dancers must also assist with upkeep of their assigned costumes and maintain a high standard of personal appearance in all work-related areas.
Production Singer
Vocalist will be contracted for two completely different production shows presented two nights per cruise, twice each night. In addition, vocalist will be required to possess 30 minutes worth of music that will be performed as a solo cabaret act or other performance venues on board the ship. In addition to strong vocal ability, production singers must be able to move and/or dance and have a strong stag presence with the ability to carry solo numbers with confidence. Experience in production or revue shows a plus.

Adage
Responsibilities include performing in segments of two completely different Las Vegas-style shows, presented twice per cruise, twice each night. Adage will provide choreography suitable for adaptation to themes of the shows, attend weekly rehearsals, and assist the dance captain in teaching choreography during cast changeovers.

Adage will also be required to assist with upkeep of assigned costumes and maintain a high standard of personal appearance in all work-related areas. In addition to strong technical facility demonstrating strength in adage lifts, adage performers must possess extensive flexibility and agility and offer unique ideas as it relates to the shows. Both professional dance experience in production/revue shows and formal training are strongly recommended. Partner work
essential and intermediate and/or advanced level in ballet and jazz/pointe work is
a plus.
Prospective Carnival dancers should be dressed in tight-fitting dance attire; technical exercises and contrasting combinations will be taught at the audition. Should interested participants be unable to attend an audition, material may be submitted for consideration online. Dancer submissions should include a variety of different styles that displays dancer’s performance and technical abilities.
